Abstract

The article reviews current literature on the application and effectiveness of multisensory methods in vocabulary teaching. The purpose is to explore research findings on the effectiveness of sensory stimulation (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile) in enhancing vocabulary learning. The methodology includes reviewing, sythesising, and analysing data from 2020 to the present. The paper focuses on evaluating how multisensory-based instructional approaches affect vocabulary retention and learner engagement. Findings indicate that the multisensory methods significantly enhance vocabulary learning for learners of various age groups, improving retention and increasing participation engagement. The article also highlights the diverse implementation of these methods, including the use of supportive technology and hands-on activities. However, to optimize the use of multisensory methods in teaching, further research is needed to determine the most suitable approaches and tools for different teaching contexts. In conclusion, the article provides a comprehensive overview of multisensory approaches in vocabulary teaching and updates on the latest research trends in this field, clarifying the effectiveness and limitations of the method in different educational contexts.
