Publication policies
HNUEJS: Educational Sciences recommends that author status as those who make significant intellectual contributions to a scientific article must be based on the following 4 criteria:
- Contributed significantly to the conception or design of the study; or collect, analyze or interpret data for research;
- Outline research or directly write or critically review the article for important intellectual content;
- Final and responsible approval of the version to be published;
- Agree with the content and opinions in the article, take responsibility for all aspects of the research to ensure accuracy and integrity in scientific research.
In addition, the author must be able to determine which co-author is responsible for other specific parts of the study and have confidence in the integrity of the co-authors' contributions.
The author's role in the article
The author is the person who directly created the article. In case two or more people directly create an article with the intention that their contributions result in a complete article, those people are co-authors (hereinafter collectively referred to as authors). Authors include researchers, scientists, experts, lecturers, graduate students, students...
Subjects who submit articles to the Journal must clearly define roles: main author, contact author, and remaining authors. The role and order of authors in the article are determined by the Journal as follows:
- The author whose name appears first in the article's author list or is next but has a mark (*) right next to the name in the article is considered the main author of the article, the person who plays the main role and directly create scientific articles.
- The contact author is the only person representing the group of authors who submits articles, conducts discussions with the Journal and its members, and ensures the accuracy of the members' information and the authenticity of the information. of the research project.

An individual must meet all four criteria above (section Criteria for authors) to be eligible Name the author of a scientific article. Authors should note that those who only have merit in finding funding, only contributing data, or only having merit in leading a research group are not eligible to be named authors if they do not meet these four criteria.
The determination of the main author and contact author is decided and responsible by the author collective. Information of the authors including full name, place of work (including locality and country) and author order in the article, contact email in the article must be consistent with information declared on the system submit articles to the Journal.
After the manuscript has been edited, any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the author list will not be accepted. The magazine considers it a violation of publishing ethics to request changes to an individual's name or information without their explicit consent.
All individuals listed as contributors must agree to have their names included in the article because readers can infer their endorsement of the article's data and conclusions.
In addition to contributors, individuals who helped conduct the research but have not been acknowledged as contributors should also be mentioned in the author's acknowledgments because this acknowledgment can demonstrate validation. individuals' responses to the data and conclusions of the study.

According to the Vietnam Intellectual Property Law 2022, the amendments to the Vietnam Intellectual Property Law 2022, and the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), authors submitting articles to the Journal retain their moral rights and economic rights, as follows:
Moral Rights:

Authors have the right to name their article or allow the Journal to edit the title to improve article quality in accordance with the Journal's guidelines.

Authors have the right to permit the Journal to publish their article, prevent others from distorting, modifying, or cutting the manuscript in a way that affects their honor and reputation, and allow the Journal’s reviewers and editors to propose modifications to enhance the manuscript quality and adhere to the Journal's regulations.
Economic Rights:

Authors retain ownership and property rights over the original manuscript submitted to the Journal.

Authors have the right to submit their manuscript to other journals if HNUE Journal rejects or declines to publish it.
Declaration of Competing Interests
All authors submitting manuscripts to our Journal must disclose any financial or personal relationships with individuals or organizations that could be perceived as influencing their manuscript. Authors must declare all potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission. This information will remain confidential during the review process. If the manuscript is accepted for publication, conflicts of interest will be disclosed in the article’s acknowledgments section. The Journal’s editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts if undeclared conflicts of interest are discovered or if declared conflicts are deemed to compromise the integrity of the work.
Authors must identify the individuals or organizations that provided financial support for the research and/or manuscript preparation and describe their role in the Acknowledgments section. Financial support, if any, must be explicitly stated, including research funding (salaries, equipment, materials, and other expenses), employment, consulting fees, patent applications, grants, or other funding sources. Non-financial support may include personal or professional relationships with organizations or individuals. Authors must also disclose contributors to the research, including those who provided intellectual or technical input (idea generation, design, data collection, analysis, or manuscript preparation).
Plagiarism and Duplication
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will not be accepted under any circumstances. Any case of plagiarism, including copying, paraphrasing, or reusing previously published material without proper attribution, will result in manuscript rejection and potential sanctions against the authors. HNUE Journal: Natural Sciences uses Turnitin plagiarism detection software to ensure manuscript authenticity. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 25% will not be considered for review.
Use of AI
The Journal encourages the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a research support tool. AI can play a crucial role in big data analysis, information retrieval, and predictive modeling. The Journal will establish guidelines to ensure transparency in AI usage, requiring authors to detail the AI technologies used, the reasons for their use, and how AI-generated results were evaluated to maintain research integrity and future AI applications.
To ensure transparency in AI usage reporting, authors must provide clear details in the Acknowledgments section, specifying the type of AI technology used, its purpose, and its role in the research. If AI was used during the research process, a detailed description should be included in the Methods section. Editors may request additional information or content adjustments to ensure transparency and publication readiness.
Submission Policy
Manuscripts must be submitted online through the editorial system at hnuejs.edu.vn following the submission guidelines and adhering to the Journal's ethical and publication policies. Manuscripts must align with the aims and scope of HNUEJS: Natural Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Journal). Authors confirm that their manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publication in any form (print or electronic). Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals until the Journal’s editorial decision is final.
Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism and research duplication. Submissions must follow the Journal’s formatting template. Authors must provide supporting research data for review and editing purposes. For English manuscripts, authors are encouraged to use professional language editing services to ensure grammatical accuracy, content clarity, formatting, punctuation, and spelling before submission. The Journal encourages authors to cite references from previously published articles in HNUEJS. Authors bear full legal responsibility for the manuscript’s content, copyright compliance, data integrity, scientific integrity, research ethics, and conflicts of interest.
Open Access Policy
The Hanoi National University of Education Journal of Science supports open access to facilitate the dissemination of scientific research and knowledge exchange globally. Readers may search, read, download, and print full-text articles from the Journal’s online system. Readers may also use the Journal’s published content for lawful, non-commercial purposes, citing sources appropriately in their research.
Editorial Policy
The Journal adheres to international publication standards, developed with expert contributions worldwide and coordinated by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Peer Review Policy
The Journal follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring anonymity between authors and reviewers. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, scientific reputation, and recommendations from the Editorial Board and industry experts. The Journal welcomes author suggestions for suitable reviewers, but final reviewer selection is at the Journal’s discretion.
Reviewers must adhere to the Journal’s ethics policies, declare potential conflicts of interest, and follow review guidelines and deadlines. Reviewers may accept or decline review invitations based on their availability and expertise.
Review Timeline:

The initial review process starts within 30–60 days from the nearest journal issue’s publication.

The first-round review results are provided within 7–20 days from the reviewer’s acceptance.

The second-round review results are provided within 7–10 days from receiving the revised manuscript.
Reviewers must meet deadlines or inform editors if they cannot complete the review on time.
Confidentiality, Objectivity, and Fairness:

Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not share manuscript details.

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and fairly.

Reviewers should identify missing citations and alert editors to potential plagiarism or duplicate publications.

Reviewers must decline reviews if conflicts of interest arise.
Article Acceptance Policy
Manuscripts accepted for publication meet the following criteria:

Passed the initial editorial screening for compliance with scope, ethics, formatting, and originality.

Received approval from two blind reviewers across both initial and revised review rounds. If there is one rejection and one conditional acceptance, a third reviewer is assigned.

Underwent professional English language editing and final proofreading.

Approved for publication by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer recommendations and Editorial Board consensus.
