Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has influenced traditional learning programs by providing individualized, interactive, and effective learning experiences. Among these advancements, ChatGPT, a cutting-edge AI language model, has emerged as a powerful tool for effectively promoting creative learning environments. This study examines the effectiveness of ChatGPT in improving IELTS essay writing scores, focusing on task response, and grammatical range and accuracy. Using a pre-test and post-test design, alongside interviews, the research evaluates students' writing performance and attitudes toward using AI in their writing practice. Results suggest significant improvements in students' scores, particularly in grammatical accuracy, and highlight positive attitudes toward ChatGPT as a supplementary writing tool.
