APPLICATION PROCESS OF UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH MILD INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES IN KINDERGARTEN

Children with mild intellectual disabilities have more potential to learn and live independently, and participating in an inclusive education program will help them develop many skills. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework to support educators in minimizing barriers and enhancing learning opportunities for all children. The article aims to provide a 5-step UDL application process to help preschool teachers design environments and activity plans to meet the diverse needs of children in the classroom, including children with intellectual disabilities. In the future, research in this area needs to continue, especially research on practical applications to provide scientific evidence on the effectiveness of UDL for children with disabilities.
