THE NGUYEN DYNASTY'S PARTICIPATION IN WORLD EXHIBITIONS IN FRANCE IN THE LATE 19 TH CENTURY AND THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY

World exhibitions are major events, organized to introduce and honor the industrial achievements of imperialist countries. At the Paris exhibition in 1867, for the first time, there was the participation of "non-Western" countries, such as Dai Nam. Based on the research of Chau Ban documents and historical books of the National Institute of History, the topic focuses on understanding the reactions and activities of the Nguyen Dynasty when invited to participate in world exhibitions held in France in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
