TYPE INTERACTIONS IN THE SHORT STORY OF JORGE LUIS BORGES

Abstract

Jorge Luis Borges (J.L. Borges) is one of the pioneering authors of Latin American fantasy literary movement. Short stories by J.L. Borges are imbued with a legendary impression, restoring a dark existential corner full of doubt and hysteria with unique artistic techniques, receiving attention from both public readers and experts. Interactive arts is the direction of studying the presence of art forms in specific creative products. Approaching the short stories of J.L. Borges in this direction contributes to the discovery of aesthetics value in his writing. By combining the typological method in dividing art forms, systematizing research issues on type characteristics, identifying the characteristics of types using comparative method, the article identifies and interprets the manifestation of type interaction in three aspects: architectural elements, visual elements and cinematic elements. This is contribute to the awareness of the organic relationship between art forms in literary composition, specifically the talent of J.L. Borges in building the artistic world in his short stories.
