Abstract

This study examines the territorial organization of river tourism in Can Tho City from the perspective of tourist experience, based on survey data collected from 236 visitors. Descriptive statistics and quantitative analysis were employed to investigate the key components of the tourism system, including route-point spatial structure, infrastructure and services, territorial connectivity, and tourist experience. The findings indicate that the tourism space has developed relatively clearly along the central axis of Ninh Kieu - Cai Rang, with outlying sites such as My Khanh and Con Son playing a complementary role in shaping visitor experiences, particularly in cultural and community dimensions. However, spatial distribution remains uneven, infrastructure and services are not yet fully synchronized, and the level of connectivity between different areas is still limited. Furthermore, the gap between tourist satisfaction and the completeness of structural development suggests that the effectiveness of river tourism is influenced not only by the availability of resources but also on how tourism space is organized. This finding implies the need to strengthen spatial linkages and adopt a network-based model of territorial organization.
