Abstract

In the context of globalization, the cultural industry has emerged as a vital component of economic development. This paper analyzes the mediating role of academic journals in facilitating international knowledge exchange and supporting the sustainable development of this sector. Employing descriptive methods and a comprehensive analysis of domestic and international academic literature, the study identifies barriers, including language constraints, financial limitations, and a relatively modest international publication standing in the Arts and Humanities compared to international and regional peers. Consequently, the article proposes strategic solutions, with a particular emphasis on multilingual publishing models and open access, to enhance international integration capacity and assert national knowledge sovereignty.
